Easter Time

We have had a busy week. Mommy took her boys to meet the Easter Bunny, Ben had his interview with St. Thomas, and Ben also had his class Easter party. I am happy to report that no one cried when they saw the Easter Bunny, Ben nailed his interview, and Sam is now saying, "ma-ma!"

My boys are truly blessed to have so many people who love them. One of which is my best friend, (one of my best friends Rachel) Rebecca Peddy. Becca came down last week and I can now say we should truly call her "Nanny Becca." She has been a tremendous help watching the boys while I tutor, run errands, work-out, etc.

On Saturday morning Ben and I had tickets to go see Thomas the Train, and Becca watched Sam; Ben had a BLAST! He could not get over Thomas being SO BIG! It was such beautiful weather over the weekend we were able to take the boys to Matheson Beach, twice! T

This morning we drove down to the Redlands where we picked strawberries and ate homemade cinnamon rolls. Yum! On our way home I found out Ben's BFF was at the Miami-Dade Zoo, so we whipped on over there. My friend Kristi had a free ticket, but we also got Becca in for free b/c I said she was my nanny! We will miss her when she leaves, but I think she is looking forward to quiet time.

New Addition to Forbes Family

So, against my better judgement, Andy and I decided to adopt an AMAZING Labrador who needed a home. His name is Charlie, and he is the most well behaved dog I have ever owned. It was funny because the week we found out about Charlie, Ben had just mentioned in the car that he wanted a dog, literally out of NOWHERE!

Charlie is a special breed of Labradors that are referred to as "non-hyper." I was really only hesitant because of my mother. In fact, for those of you who are not on Facebook, I tried to prepare my mom and led her to think that maybe I was pregnant so having a dog was not so bad. Needless to say, that blew up in my face because I was getting calls congratulating me! My mom did take the bait, and we will see how she like Charlie tonight at dinner.

He is a wonderful addition to our family, the boys ADORE him! Ben has been getting over pneumonia, and in the middle of the night coughs frequently. The first night Charlie was here he went in Ben's room and starting licking his face! Whenever Sam cries he licks his face, it is very sweet. Ben even gets up early and "reads" to Charlie.

Yes, Ben had pneumonia for 10 days, and is still recovering. It was so bad that Sam had to stay with my mother for a few days, thank you Mom! The first few pictures are of Ben and Sam playing with the blocks Mimi gave them when Ben was home sick. We also found out that Ben was accepted to Gulliver Academy, now let's just hope Mommy gets a job there!

Sam is saying "da-da", occasionally "ma-ma", shakes his head no, and is desperately trying to walk. His top 2 front teeth have FINALLY broken through. I can't believe my baby is going to be one this month! We also found out that he was "accepted" into a mother's day out program for next year. (I know to you folks in Texas this sounds crazy, but I have to do this stuff this early here!)
